As it’s the first Tuesday of the month, it’s time for the September 2021 lineup of Humble Choice! Last month was stacked with some excellent titles in the form of Metroidvania Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, perspective puzzler Superliminal, and many more! As we go into September though, this month shifts its focus to some small-scale, wonderful indie games to give a go at. Let’s not waste any more time though. Without further adieu, here’s the full lineup of games for September 2021’s Humble Choice!

As you can see, there’s definitely no end to the indie wave with this month’s Humble Choice. I can happily make a few great suggestions though. From top to bottom, I’d say your priorities should be on Narita Boy, West of Dead, and Orwell: Ignorance is Strength if you haven’t played all three. Narita Boy offers a great experience that feels real nostalgic with its old-school TV style. West of Dead, on a complete flip side, offers a unique 3D art suite in a cover-based roguelike shooter (and it has Ron Perlman, what more could you ask for?). And finally, Orwell: Ignorance is Strength is a wonderful spinoff to a wonderful game all around. Very enjoyable for those who enjoy a good story. That’s not to say the other indies aren’t worth trying though, as all these titles look exceptional.
This month’s charity is Women in Games International, looking to support female gamers and empower them so they make their mark on the industry. Given that equality is always a good thing, having proceeds to go to this charity is really great to see. You can read more about them over on their official website.
Which Humble Choice September 2021 title are you most excited to play? Anything you hope to see next month? Let me know!
