Season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is underway! Disney+ released today that two Disney Channel Alums will be joining the cast of Season 3 of HSMTMTS. First off, we have Corbin Bleu, who played Chad, Troy Bolton’s best friend in the original High School Musical movies. And second, we have Jason Earles, who played Hannah Montana’s brother Jackson Stewart on the hit Disney sitcom. The two have been confirmed to join the High School Musical series cast as guest stars for the upcoming third season.

In HSMTMTS Season 3, Corbin makes his return to the HSM world, starring as himself(as Lucas Grabeel did in Season 1). Jason Earles won’t be playing himself, but according to E!, “Jason set to play Dewey Wood, the stone-faced, killjoy Camp Director of Camp Shallow Lake.” Earles also worked as the cast’s acting coach for Season 1 and 2 of the High School Musical series.

What’s Coming this Season on ‘HSMTMTS’

Season 3 of HSMTMTS won’t occur at East High but instead will take place during the summer at a sleepaway camp. According to the season’s description,

It’s about time to have ‘Let It Go’ stuck in our heads for eternity again.

For HSMTMTS Season 3, the returning cast includes none other than one of 2021’s biggest pop stars, Olivia Rodrigo, as Nini. Also returning is Joshua Bassett as Ricky, Matt Cornett as E.J., Sofia Wylie as Gina, and Julia Lester as Ashlyn. You can watch Seasons 1 and 2 of HSMTMTS on Disney+.
