Do you have what it takes to reach level 50 in Pokémon Go? Not only will you have to acquire the required amount of experience to level up, but there are specific research tasks for players to complete moving up from level 41 to 50. For players attempting to make it to level 48, one of the tasks you need to complete is to win a three-star raid only using Pokémon with 1,500 CP or less. It’s likely a bit more difficult than the other challenge to complete 30 raids using all unique Pokémon species. Although, given your luck, it could be easier.
Most three-star raids trainers have been able to complete if they are a strong enough level, but the 1,500 CP restriction is fairly difficult. The best way to approach this challenge is to think about some of the best Pokémon in this CP range, and the type of three-star Pokémon you want to battle against.
Some of the best Pokémon you can use that are under 1,500 CP include Azumarill, Galarian Stunfisk, Deoxys (defense), Swampert, Abomasnow, Sirfetch’d, Mantine, Altaria, Sableye, Registeetl, Cresselia, Machamp, and many more. While figuring out what are the best Pokémon to use in this CP range, it’s important to figure out what Pokémon you can raid against.
The three-star raids in Pokémon that you want to consider will vary. For example, in December 2020, the better Pokémon for one trainer to battle include Alolan Marowak, Mawile, and Aggron. Each of these Pokémon has a different weakness, which means you’ll need to use a full team of Pokémon that can optimize against the weakness.
You’ll probably need to check out The Silph Road website to view what raids are available. You can see what three-star Pokémon are available, what their CP their recommended battles are, and their overall strengths and weaknesses. These change every month.
You only need to do it once, so once you complete this task when you’re trainer level 47, you’re one step closer to reaching level 48, and nearly ready to achieve trainer level 50.
