Lost Ark’s Currency Exchange is a fast-moving marketplace that deals with three of the game’s primary currencies: Gold, Crystals, and Royal Crystals. Mastering how it works will help you maximize the exchange rate so that you can get more of your target currency at a smaller cost.

The Currency Exchange can be accessed by accessing the Store on the bottom right of the screen, located left of the Roster menu, to access the Lost Ark Shop. Once inside, click on the Currency Exchange button on the left of the exit button on the bottom right of the screen.

The Currency Exchange allows you to trade two currency pairs. Under the Purchase Gold section, you can buy Gold using Royal Crystals. On the Buy Crystals tab, you can purchase Crystals using Gold. There’s currently no way to purchase Royal Crystals with Gold, but you can purchase Crystals with Royal Crystals directly in the Lost Ark Shop.

There are three key sections in the Currency Exchange.

Royal Crystal or Crystal Sale Offers

These refer to the currencies that are actively being sold. You’ll find the quantity in stock under Gold or Crystal Sale Offers, and the Sale Price per one Quantity of Royal Crystals (238 total) or 100 Crystals on the right.

Note: The game uses the term “one Royal Crystal”, but this refers to one Quantity of Royal Crystals and not one piece. One Quantity equals 238 Royal Crystals.

Crystal Purchase Offers

These refer to the Crystals that are actively being purchased by other players. The Sale Price indicates their offer (per 100 Crystals), and the Crystal Purchase Offers section refers to how much they want to purchase.

You’ll notice that there’s isn’t a Royal Crystal Purchase Offers section under the Purchase Gold Tab. That’s because players can’t purchase Royal Crystals through the Currency Exchange. They can only be obtained with real-life money.

The Royal Crystals that are sold in the platform are converted to Crystals at a ratio of 238:100—they are then circulated into the Buy Crystals section, supplying the listings. To a certain degree, both sections of the Currency Exchange are dictated by the Royal Crystals to Gold price pair.

Purchase Gold or Crystals

At the bottom right of the page, you can add a listing for purchasing Gold or Crystals. You have the power to dictate the Sale Price.

In the Purchase Gold section, Sale Price refers to the amount of Gold you’ll receive by trading your desired Quantity of Royal Crystals. Lowering the Sale Price will make your transaction quicker, but your profit smaller.

In the Buy Crystals section, Sale Price refers to the amount you need to spend to obtain your desired Quantity of Crystals. Lowering the Sale Price will make your transaction slower, but your profit larger.

Keep in mind that Quantity refers to Royal Crystals in increments of 238 and Crystals in increments of 100 (with a five percent tax, so you only receive 95 per Crystal Quantity).
