Drone, a new tactical gear, was added to PUBG: Battlegrounds alongside EMT kit. You can use the equipment to scout your vicinity for about a 300 meter radius. If you spot any enemy player or squad, you can ping their location and alert your teammates for an edge in fights.

Additionally, the gear allows you to pick up an item and relocate it. For instance, you can now use the Drone to effortlessly access a First Aid healing kit placed on a once inaccessible house roof. However, the maximum number of items you can carry at a time is limited to one.

Although it occupies one of your primary weapon inventory slots, the features and benefits associated can be really powerful if utilized properly. The default in-game controls for operating a Drone in PUBG are listed below.

Drone don’t require any fuel and can be operated for infinite duration unless damaged. Vigilant enemy players can easily detect them due to its noise and shoot them down. As such, you can pick up a damaged Drone and repair it to make it operational once again.

It can be damaged by bullets, explosions, fire, water, flying outside the operation radius, and vehicle collision. Another risk factor associated with using Drones is that you remain stationary and vulnerable. So make sure to bring out the gear from a secure and secluded spot.
